It is important to choose the right insulation materials for your project to ensure an energy efficient building.  Elliotts Insulation and Drylining offer a wide range of insulation materials from the leading manufacturers, such as; EcoTherm, Kingspan, Knauf, Rockwool and Springvale, to help you comply with the latest Building Regulations.  Our range of insulation materials, includes a wide choice of thermal, acoustic and fire proof materials for both domestic and commercial applications.

Unlike many competitors we hold a vast stock of insulation at the branch.  What does 'a vast stock' mean?  At Elliotts Insulation and Drylining it means enough insulation to insulate around 400 three bedroomed houses.

We are constantly growing our specialisation in Insulation and products recently added to our range include:  Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier, Crown DriTherm32, KdB Airflex  and YBS Non-Itch General Purpose Insulation.
Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier
 
Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier is a non-combustible wired mattress, used to sub-divide voids and spaces to prevent the spread of fire in buildings. It is available faced and unfaced to suit individual application requirements.
 
Application
 
Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier is used for the compartmentation of large cavities. It can be used in the following applications:
  • Large cavities beneath metal, concrete and timber decks
  • Large cavities above suspended ceilings
  • As a cavity barrier in timber roofs 
Rocksilk Fire & Smoke
A single layer of 50mm Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier achieves half an hour fire protection in terms of both insulation and integrity. Two layers of 50mm Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier with a 50mm airspace between achieves one hour fire protection in terms of both insulation and integrity.

Rocksilk Smoke and Fire Barrier is rot proof, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.  It is odourless and non-hygroscopic.

Crown DriTherm 32

Higher density Crown DriTherm is being specified more and more to meet the new Part L regulations. Crown DriTherm 32 meets this requirement. Features include:

  • Semi rigid glass mineral wool slab with low thermal conductivity @ 0.032 W/mK
  • Gives high level of thermal resistance in full or partial fill cavity wall applications
  • Allows compliance with 2006 Building Regulations with any type of block inner leaf
  • Remains within a maximum 100mm cavity width to comply with above
  • Highest Euroclass A1 fire classification

With a 50 year guarantee and BBA covered for use in any exposure zone it's the product of the future.

Crown Dritherm 32
KdB Airflex

Airflex is a flexible insulation that is used in conjunction with other insulation materials to reduce the ‘U’ value (thermal transmittance) in new or existing pitched roofs. Compared with the depth of PUR required to achieve 0.20 ‘U’ Value it is possible to save over 40% when you combine Airflex & Glasswool.

It is only 10mm thick and consists of a 3mm thick polyethylene foam (25 kgm³) core sandwiched between a layer of bubble foil, laminated with a coated aluminium outer layer on both sides. It is available in roll form with a width of 1.2m and length of 25m.
 
Airlex is BBA, IAB, LABC and NHBC Building Control Approved.

Applications
 
Airflex is ideal for top up, attic conversions and new builds!  In addition to it's insulation applications it can also be used as a under tile membrane.
KDB Airflex

YBS Non-Itch General Purpose Insulation

Non-Itch Insulation is made from user-friendly non-irritant, non-itch material that is free from floating fibres or dust and so avoids skin irritation and respiratory problems normally associated with other forms of insulation. Non-Itch will not deteriorate over time and will not be affected by mould, mildew or rot. Non-Itch is also resistant to vermin and insect attack.
