Since we opened our Sustainable Product Centre in Southampton in May 2012 we have run a number of lunchtime events covering a range of subjects

In 2013 we plan to continue these as we believe it gives you our customers an opportunity to keep up to date with products and services we offer relating to “Sustainability”

With the increasing need to meet the various “Code for Sustainable Homes” on new build and improving Energy Efficiency on existing buildings we are continually updating our Centre.

If you are able to join us anytime between 11am and 2pm on the following dates;

we will be providing light refreshments and the opportunity to meet a number of suppliers, who will be available to discuss their products and services, as well as offer advice on how their products can help your project become a more sustainable build and be more energy efficient. We are also hoping to include demonstrations on certain products during these lunchtime events based on the CPD Seminar Programmes we will also be running at 6pm on these dates

Whether you have an existing or future project, either new build or refurbishment, we are sure you will find this a useful lunchtime event and hope you will be able to come along.

On the 23rd January we held a Renewables lunchtime event 

If was very successful with a number of suppliers in attendace who helped customers with ideas for their projects.

November 2012

Insulation Event

On Wednesday 14th November  we held  an Insulation lunchtime event. We has a a number of suppliers in attendance who are listed below.  

If you haven’t already had a chance to visit our new Sustainable Product Centre or Brick Library this will be a good time to have a look around at the other displays and information available.

Some of these products are new and innovative so may be of interest to you and we will be running 20 min light and informativeoverview sessions for;-

Durisol          -      recycled wood pallett block system

Homatherm   -     recycled wood and paper insulation products (good loft retrofit solution)

Polysteel      -       polystyrene building system

VO4Home     -     Voltage Optimisation

Low-e           -      flexible insulation made from recycled bottles, high uvalue and only 5mm thick

On Wednesday 17th October we held our Heating & Ventilation event. We had a number of suppliers in attendance who were able to advise on products suitable for your specific project.

From Saturday 1^st September 2012 it will not be possible to buy 40W and 25W incandescent bulbs

The phased ban on the sale of incandescent light bulbs is completed following the EU directive to reduce energy use of lighting

Energy Saving event in our Sustainable Products Centre

Following the launch of our Sustainable Product Centre in May 2012 at Southampton we held the first of our lunchtime events which was around the subject of “Energy Saving”. 

We had a number of suppliers in attendance who had a range of products to help save money on energy bills/monitor energy/make the best of natural light/reduce energy usage etc 

EcoShowcase Construction Roadshow

Accessing the right product information is always a challenge for specifiers. Sorting the sustainable truth from the artificial green-wash is harder still. ecoSHOWCASE provides you with a local event where you can pose your questions face-to-face and learn the truth about sustainable products and solutions. May 2012

Today has been a proud day for Eliotts. Dani King, Cycling World Champion, opened our first Sustainable Products Showroom at the Southampton branch. The event was captured by ITV Meridian and the Southern Daily Echo.

The showroom is now open to all - 7.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Friday and 8.00am - 12.00pm Saturday.
