The recently appointed Chief Scientific Adviser to the council will help guide our work to enhance the performance of the city and improve the quality of life for its residents, businesses and visitors.

Our ambitious vision for the development of the city centre over the next 20 years will help ensure that the city gains a world-wide reputation as a low carbon waterfront city by creating a stimulating, green and attractive place to live and work, one that visitors will want to come and see.
